'FELL FOR YOU'OUT NOWLISTEN HERE
Following the release of her
acclaimed new tracks 'Fell For You' and 'Breakout' earlier this year,
Scottish experimental songstress MALKA is delighted to announce a number
of special shows this summer.
She will play in support of Fujiya & Miyagi at London's Corsica Studios on June 13th and summer festivals including Secret Garden Party on July 23rd and Camp Bestival on July 30th.
MALKA recently released the Donald Trump-inspired new song 'Fell For
You', which took influence from the election in America and the rise in
'fake news'.
'Fell For You' followed the release of 'Breakout', the first single to
be taken from her forthcoming second album due later this year. The
tracks have received strong support from Lauren Laverne and Chris
Hawkins at 6Music, and achieved critical acclaim from the likes of
Drowned In Sound, Line Of Best Fit and more.
A new single from the forthcoming album is due to be announced soon, stay tuned for more details...

ABOUT MALKA
MALKA first made waves on the music scene as Tamara Schlesinger, the
frontwoman of acclaimed alt-folk collective 6 Day Riot and also as a
prolific songwriter. Her past work has been included in a host of
high-profile syncs for TV series and Hollywood blockbusters – most
notably Skins, Scream 4 and 127 Hours. Her voice can also be heard in Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels. Her music has also been featured in Degrassi Next Class and MTV's Catfish recently.
Tamara released her critically acclaimed debut MALKA album Marching To Another Beat in
2015. Since then she's become a BBC 6Music favourite and has clocked up
big support from Lauren Laverne, who recently featured MALKA's previous
single 'Wonder Why' in her 'Best Of 2016' playlist, alongside Steve
Lamacq, Nemone and Chris Hawkins at the station, while Huw Stephens is a
big fan of MALKA at Radio 1.
