Her past work has been included in a host of high-profile syncs for TV series and Hollywood blockbusters – most notably Skins, Scream 4 and 127 Hours. Her voice can also be heard in Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels. Her music has also been featured in Degrassi Next Class and MTV's Catfish recently.

Tamara released her critically acclaimed debut MALKA album Marching To Another Beat in 2015. Since then she's become a BBC 6Music favourite and has clocked up big support from Lauren Laverne, who recently featured MALKA's previous single 'Wonder Why' in her 'Best Of 2016' playlist, alongside Steve Lamacq, Nemone and Chris Hawkins at the station, while Huw Stephens is a big fan of MALKA at Radio 1.

HICARI release video for new single 'Stellar'

'STELLAR'
Official video unveiled

LONDON HEADLINE SHOW
NOTTING HILL ARTS CLUB
JUNE 15TH

"'Stellar' fizzes with pop energy, from the electronic production right through to Shai's biting yet entirely personal vocal" – Clash

"'Stellar' is a fizzy pop anthem with an instantly hummable chorus"Idolator

Pop quintet HICARI have unveiled the video to their brand-new single 'Stellar', which premiered with Clash yesterday. A metaphorical representation of the song's lyrical themes, the video features a flamboyant band performance intercut with an entertaining narrative featuring sumo wrestling. Although playful, it perfectly conveys the message not to judge a book by its cover!

'Stellar' is a huge pop anthem with '80s synth hooks, taking influences from the likes of CHVRCHES, The 1975 and St. Lucia. Lyrically, the track tackles the subject of body image and the pressures to conform to modern-day, media perceptions of unrealistic beauty.

Lead vocalist Shai comments, "From the age of 11 to 18 I'd been bullied for being chubby and it has always played on my conscience. My mum always told me otherwise but I was convinced that I wasn't good enough to be seen as attractive. Where I grew up, physical 'beauty' was seen as the only thing that made you worthy of being someone and so I grew up determined to be what people thought was beautiful. Now I see how subjective beauty is, we all perceive it differently and so for me 'Stellar' was being on both sides of the spectrum."

Vocalist and keyboard player Ryan adds, "As a kid in school, I always fell for girls who had talent and great personalities. I remember completely falling for a girl because she had such an incredible voice, I couldn't come to terms with why other guys only talked about the 'popular' girls who had nice faces and big boobs. 'Stellar' is celebrating how innocent and oblivious I used to be, and rejecting how society has tried to teach me that 'real beauty' is on the outside."

Hailing from Liverpool, HICARI, which means 'light' in Japanese, are a multicultural band of friends who are made up of Shayaan Oshidar (Lead Vocals), Ryan Bickley (Lead Vocals, Keyboard), Tatsu Saiki (Guitar, Keyboard), Paddy Morrison (Bass) and Will Brown (Drums).

Donning their finest glitter, they will be playing a number of dates this summer including a London headline show at the Notting Hill Arts Club on the 15th June.

"[Gov't Mule's] songs stomp and wail with unmistakable energy and heft" – NPR

"Warren Haynes is a meaty and masterful slide player, as well as a soulful singer and songwriter" – Rolling Stone

"A band heavy enough to be James Hetfield's favourite; grungy, gritty and bluesy enough to earn the praises of ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons; and swirly enough to speak loud and clear to the Phishheads who flock to their shows to twirl the night away"
– Guitar World

Following the announcement of their eagerly anticipated 10th studio album, American rock band Gov't Mule have confirmed their return to the UK in October this year.

The band will be heading to Ireland to play a show in Dublin before coming to the UK for four dates in Edinburgh, Manchester, Cardiff and London.

Oct 22nd -  Academy, Dublin, IE | Tickets
Oct 24th - Queens Hall, Edinburgh, UK | Tickets
Oct 26th – Ritz, Manchester, UK | Tickets
Oct 27th – Tramshed, Cardiff, UK | Tickets
Oct 28th - London Bluesfest, London, UK

The band first return to the road at Summerstage in New York's Central Park and have dates booked through the summer in North America and Europe, with hopes of also heading to Japan, Australia and other territories to promote the upcoming album Revolution Come... Revolution Go.

After celebrating 20 years and then taking a few years to work on other projects, the album is "the new chapter opening up for the band", according to founder Warren Haynes. It's due for release June 9th via Spinefarm Records. You can pre-order the album here.

The 12-song set, Gov't Mule's 10th studio outing, was recorded primarily with long-time collaborator Gordie Johnson (Big Sugar) in Austin, Texas, but the musicians also worked on a pair of tracks with Don Was, with whom Haynes recently toured as part of the recent The Last Waltz 40th anniversary tour.

The record features the song 'Dreams & Songs', which Haynes deems autobiographical, reflecting on a career that started professionally with David Allan Coe's band in 1980 and has gone through the Dickey Betts Band, the Allman Brothers Band, the Dead, Phil Lesh & Friends and more.

"It's about looking back at your life and family and changes," Haynes explains, "and the general message is you never go back home -- not in the literal sense of the word, but things have a way of growing in their own directions, and you wake up one day and look at everything you've been through and think, 'Wow, how did I get here?' It's a journey and you look back on it. I'm very grateful for the opportunities that I've had, but it's been a wild ride and in some ways has gone so much quicker than I would ever expect. Thankfully, I'm still going strong and my career's as good as it's ever been. I'm thankful for that."

THEA GILMORE JUNE UK TOUR

RELEASES VIDEO FOR
 'NEW'

THE COUNTERWEIGHT

BRAND NEW ALBUM
Out June 2nd through Cooking Vinyl

JUNE UK TOUR
Tuesday 2nd May: Thea Gilmore has released the video for her latest single 'New', which was filmed by legendary music photographer Roger Sargent. The single premiered on Radio 2 last week on Ken Bruce's show with further spins across the station. It's the second single to be taken from The Counterweight, which is out on June 2nd through Cooking Vinyl and follows the recent track 'Sounds Good To Me', which has also been getting support across Radio 2. You can pre-order the album here.

Taking a more electric approach than before, 'New' chimes with the upbeat positivity that reflects the album's themes of hope whereas the video takes a darker, counterweighted approach to the song's meaning.

Thea says, "To all songwriters – let alone one like me – the challenge of writing down positive emotions is far more of a challenge than expressing dark stuff. It's often said that if you're feeling great there are better things to do than sit down and write songs. That said, the light moments in life, the new starts, are not to be forgotten or taken lightly... so for once I just let it all out."

Roger Sargent explains, "The idea for the video was to take the stance that though the song is really upbeat and poppy, Thea is a little ill at ease embracing the "light" so we both wanted to inject a little shade into the whole thing - tongue firmly placed in cheek as it were! I wanted Thea to do the song as a one shot, single take, and deliver the lines as if she were not wholly convinced of what she was singing. The animated "doodles" reaffirm the incongruity. They're like the notepad doodles we all do, instead of writing or working, come to life. The sort that show the workings of our subconscious mind. "

The Counterweight is Thea's first studio album for four years and is a forthright and uncompromising return, following 2015's career compilation 'Ghosts & Graffiti'. The album is bursting with passion and echoes the rapid change in our social and political landscape that 2016 brought with it.

When finishing the album in September, Thea was forced to look back at the spring and summer recording period and the tumultuous times that happened during it, including working on 'Reconcile' as Britain voted to leave the EU, and recording 'Johnny Gets A Gun' on June 16th, just a few days after the Orlando nightclub shooting.

That day was also, most harrowingly of all, the day the MP Jo Cox was murdered in cold blood and as Thea reflected on these terrible events, they became the inspiration for the final track 'The War'. That track forms the mission statement of the album; going to war on the negativity and bleakness of the current world mesmerized by fake news and futility.

The Counterweight tries to be exactly as its title suggests - a redressing of the balance, a tool of pressure, an exertion of opposite force and as such, a flag of hope.

Thea Gilmore will be heading out on a UK headline tour starting at the end of May.

Causing a swarm of excitement from fans across the globe, after the release of ‘Automaton Transmission 001’, Jamiroquai release the full length video for the album’s title track, available to watch here. A slice of neo-noir science fiction, the video was directed by Charlie Lightening (Arcade Fire, Bjork) with creative direction from front man Jay Kay. This is the latest visual to be released from the band, who were responsible for such game-changing videos as ‘Canned Heat’, ‘Little L’ & four-time MTV Video Music Award winner ‘Virtual Insanity’.

On ‘Automaton’ Jay Kay comments, The inspiration for Automaton is in recognition of the rise of artificial intelligence and technology in our world today and how we as humans are beginning to forget the more pleasant, simple and eloquent things in life and in our environment including our relationship with one another as human beings. “

Founded in 1992 by Jay Kay, Jamiroquai have become one of the most successful acts on the planet since the release of their debut album ‘Emergency on Planet Earth. With famous fans including the likes of Chance the Rapper, The Black Madonna, Anderson.Paak, Pharrell, Tyler the Creator, Jungle, Redman, Stevie Wonder & The Internet, Jamiroquai have consistently proven themselves as one of the most influential musical innovators of their time.  With over seven albums reaching the UK Top 10 (and three reaching #1), the Grammy Award winning band have sold over 26m albums worldwide and hold the Guinness Book of World Records record for best-selling funk album of all time.

Jamiroquai will also be performing at a string of international headline festival dates.

The Tide
'Put The Cuffs On Me'

In just over a year The Tide have gone from “just normal kids” to one of the hottest new pop acts on the planet. Now they burst back this Spring with their brand new single 'Put The Cuffs On Me’.

A sure-fire hit and club tinged banger, 'Put The Cuffs On Me' is a song inspired by films like Deadpool and Suicide Squad, that delves into the psychology of madness.

“You see these villains that are in these shows and you wonder what got them there,” explains Austin from the band. “What makes them that way? Obviously it's a girl. If you see a man go that crazy then he must have lost something big.  We were writing about how when you're angry and hurt like that you just stop caring  You start doing all this destructive stuff but in reality it's not helping you get over it – you're still in this prison.”

Hailing from Los Angeles, The Tide are four young rapscallions who make the sort of guitar-lead power pop that rattles bones and changes lives. Formed in early 2015, Austin Corini (vocals), Levi Jones (bass and vocals), Drew Dirksen (guitar and vocals) and Nate Parker (drums) have already toured arenas across Europe with label bosses The Vamps (their first ever gig was at the Glasgow Hydro arena), had a UK iTunes No.1 EP, and are about to kick off their second headline tour of the UK.

A product of a new generation, The Tide formed in a very modern way, via a mix of YouTube, auditions and good old-fashioned chemistry. Drew and Nate, who were in a band together in Ohio before The Tide, were spotted by the band's eventual manager on YouTube. The same manager also spotted Levi doing acoustic covers on the same website. With Austin already on people's radars via a stint on The X Factor USA the four were called together to meet in LA to see if they could work together as a band.

Defiant, brash and bold, The Tide aren't your typical pop band. Heavily involved in the songwriting and creation of their music – which has so far been made with the likes of RedOne, Josh Wilkinson, Red Triangle and Mike Green – these are four guys who want to make the best music for their fans, then play the shit out of those songs at their gigs. Everything else is extra.

“In five years' time we want to still be making music and doing what we love,” says Levi. “I'd like us to be humble and grounded still,” adds Nate. “I'd be proud if we could say we'd inspired a lot of people,” says Austin. The twinkle in their eyes suggest that moment's not too far away.

See them supporting The Vamps across the UK in April and May .
